The Kindle Fire HD 7” gives you the best of both worlds as being an e-reader and a tablet. The eInk displays wonderfully in bright sunlight so you can read easily outdoors or lying on the beach without any glare. You can read for long periods of time without having any eye-strain problems. It is smaller and lighter than an Ipad so you can carry it anywhere.
You can get either the 16GB or 32GB of hard drive space but 16GB is plenty of room to upload your entire music library from iTunes to the Amazon Cloud; and all of your e-books can be stored on here as well. The sound that comes from the kindle fire is absolutely amazing. The sound is clear and crisp like Dolby surround sound. The two speakers are located in the back of the device. It’s like listening to my iPod. This is also a great feature if you get audible e-books.
The kindle fire is truly more than just an e-reader. You can link up your e-mail with it. It comes with apps for face book, Skype, popular games, Netflix, and more. You can upload your favorite TV shows and watch them anywhere there is a Wi-Fi connection.
If you enjoy downloading movies or TV shows, the kindle 16GB can hold up to 13 HD TV episodes or 6 HD movies. This number will vary depending on what else you have installed or stored on it. The best thing to do is download whatever you want to watch, then delete them and upload some more.
The Kindle Fire HD 7″ has an awesome screen display. It is a lot better than the previous version. Its clarity and sharpness is impeccable. For you technical savvy users, the screen display is 1280×800. Last year’s model was 1024×600. As you can see, there is a big difference. If you have a HDMI micro plug, you can hook up your kindle fire to a big screen TV and watch movies or TV shows this way. It plays back wonderfully.
As far as Wi-Fi connectivity goes, the connection is quick and it does not drag. At the time I am writing this Kindle Fire Review, I have Comcast as my internet provider; and I have had no problems. I have other devices that I use such as a Smartphone and iPad and they all work great together. With the kindle, you can surf on the Net just as you would with a tablet but the kindle is more portable and easier to use.
You can also setup your e-mail with the kindle fire and it is not hard to do at all. You can get an app on Amazon called Enhanced Email for free if you don’t want to use the standard one that comes with it. You can use the e-mail app that comes with it and sync your Google account. After that, you can begin sending and receiving e-mails. With the Enhanced E-mail program, you can link-up more than one e-mail account and switch back and forth.
The new tabs and screen layout is really nice. The icons and fonts are bigger and it is real easy and fun to whip through and find what you are looking for. It has a Bluetooth connection that you can use in your car to Fire stream music through the stereo in your car. It connects without any skips or delays and it syncs up with your car in less than a minute. You just have to give it a device name so that it can be recognized.
Before I end this Kindle Fire Review Article, I absolutely love the camera on the Fire. Although I mostly use it with Skype, the front-facing HD camera can take pictures using a variety of free apps on Amazon. You can also video chat with the Skype app. Furthermore, you can use the Facebook app to share and take photos of friends and family.
You can do everything with the kindle fire that you use an iPad for and more. You can play games, read books, watch movies, update your facebook status, download movies, listen to music, and a whole host of other things.
